I am 64 years old getting up to go to work before I got this mattress and base was a chore because i was always soar and tired from tossing and turning all night, now i get to sleep and stay asleep feeling good in the morning. No more tossing and turning during the night

I'm just not crazy about my adjustable base. I was not told about the smart base; it may not have been an option at that time. The massage feature is not really all that beneficial. I deal with restless leg syndrome and so far the massage is not helping. I can barely feel the massage on my leg area. I would like a remote that allows me to choose the area where I need it most. I would recommend do more research before settling on this particular base. I'm sure temperpedic has a better one, but you may want to compare cost. One thing to remember, they do not allow you to upgrade the base.

The Tempur Adapt mattress does not conform to the contour of the base while in the zero gravity position. The foot of the bed shoots up in the air instead of resting on the base.
Also, using the charging port results in a slow charger warning on an iPhone 16.
For price premium paid for this base and mattress, these are things that I would expect to be sorted out. Especially from a company with a great reputation like Tempurpedic.

Ever wanted to sleep on a bed ON STILTS? Well now you can!
The base is basically perfect (see what I did there? ;) ;) ;) ;). Just one MAJOR flaw: When trying to raise the bed from 6" to 9", all of a sudden, you can feel a lot more motion transfer from your partner. When raising to 12", it feels like an earthquake any time one of you gets out of bed.
We got the bed and slept great the first few nights, then raised it to 12" (using all available risers), and it was so disruptive any time I got up in the middle of the night (or rolled around), that it would wake up my wife! She was getting terrible sleep for a couple months, until we finally considered the possibility that it was caused by the extra 6" of lift. We thought it was like that the whole time since we bought the king size bed/base because we raised it soon after getting it.
Then today we spent like 2 hours testing every single option: 1) we removed the base entirely and plopped the mattress on the carpet, 2) then tested the mattress on the base, but with no lifters at all (base just lying flat on the floor), 3) then just the first 3" lifter, 4) 6" lift total, 5) 9", 6) we had already experienced the horror of the 12" so we didn't have to do that again.
With our testing we figured out that options 1-4 felt pretty much the exact same. No noticeable difference. When my wife rolled around in bed, or got up out of bed, or back in, I sometimes couldn't even tell that she had moved.
Option 5 was noticeably worse. I could feel a rickety-ness that would be enough to wake a light sleeper.
Option 6 was just horrendous. Absolutely unfathomable to me that this design made it to production! Did they not even test this base at all with 2 PEOPLE sleeping in the same bed?
Everything else is great about the base but Tempur-pedic should be ashamed of this oversight and whoever is responsible should be sacked.
We do like the lumbar support, the underbed lighting, the zero-G and snore functions (which are both really just customizable presets with a default factory setting they think you'll like), and of course the "default" preset is nice.
The vibration could have used a few more settings, and I would have liked to see an additional preset or two.
So, if you want more than 6" clearance, better go with a different product (and different company). Unless you are single. But even then, the bed just feels better getting into when it's stable. And there are tons of options out there to choose from with similar price points! Just do yourself a favor and pass on this one.
Note: We bought the King size Luxe-Breeze Firm mattress about 2 months ago (February 2025) and the Tempur-Ergo Power Base (the 2nd cheapest one at the time).

Size: Queen) we purchased at the same time as the Ergo was undersized at 57 inches wide instead of the 60 inches wide! filed claim with tempur pedic only to be denied and belittled by customer service! bad business! not the same company ethics as years ago! tempur pedic fails to own up to defects and definitely shrunk the size of their products due to shrinkflation!

The Tempur-Ergo 3.0 adjustable queen has been a nice bed. The frame bent, and they are charging me to bring in the replacement. That's a bit unfair, to have to pay for their defective frame.

There are many features I love! The under the bed light is perfect for getting up to use the bathroom/get ready, or when the kids wanted to "hide" the massage feature (aka magic fingers) sold me on the base and is nice, but doesn't work well if mattress is raised.
We also hit the mattress, but it's not working out for us so I'm excited I can get a different mattress and keep the base!

I really love being able to adjust the mattress, especially the lumbar support. The Zero Gravity function is great too, feels so relaxing. Even using the head adjustment when reading. It's elevated my sleeping/bed experience. The only thing I dislike is the blue status light that emits from under the bed. I really like to sleep in complete darkness (better for our health too), and I'll need to cover it with tape or something.

After hearing from family and friends about the Tempur-Pedic mattress, I decided to give it a try. I was having some bilateral hip pain from arthritis from horseback riding my whole life. It was painful with my previous, good quality mattress. The pain is totally resolved with the Tempur-Pedic, at least while I am in bed. I am so thankful to be sleeping better. I feel like I am in a cocoon of comfort. My pets seem to like it too, judging from their level of satisfied snoring.

The frame/base is nice but the vibration setting isn't consistent. It often varies with an unpredictable patterns and does not help when trying to go to sleep. The support line for help was also very inconvenient. It's an expensive bed and frame and I'm a little disappointed.

I like the adjustable frame positions, the massage vibrations is not that great, it feels as though it's vibrating in the head area only. The mattress doesn't have much of a cooling effect either, plus they said you have to have the mattress cover over the zipper cover which I feel is another barrier affecting the coolness of the mattress. And my mattress seems to shift forward or to the side I assume from putting it in the up and down positions. And it's hard to shift the mattress back in place due to the weight of the mattress. Very expensive not much change for my sleeping. I'm still not cool at night, or getting a good massage.
